It matters little whether you’ve spent the previous hours making the most of a Force 4 or lazing in a sheltered anchorage. From the DVD library, flat screen television and independent, cabin by cabin hi-fi linked to i-pod and mp3 connections, to the more traditional relaxations of chessboard and children’s games.

Everything is to hand, even links to the outside world via the satellite site for telephone, e-mail and internet, with WiFi for in harbour use and an internal network for laptops. Naturally, air conditioning is installed to keep you cool on even the most tropical of evenings, while the onboard icemaker is a civilised addition for any serious sailor. And not all the toys are on the inside. The 4.0 metre rib with 50hp outboard is a popular daytime diversion, along with the water skis (twin and mono), wakeboard, ringos, snorkels and fins.
